11-22-08		 There  will  be  a  JLGA  Board  of  Director's  Meeting  immediately  following  the  JLGA  show  that  day.  Meeting  is  open  to  public  &  discussions  will  be  taken  from  the  floor  however,  only  current  JLGA  Board  of  Directors  may  vote  on  matters  at  hand.

11-22-08		 SHOW  #7  CONFIRMED  -  Alexandria  -  Dean  Lee  Livestock  Barn  -  11/22/08
This  will  be  the  last  JLGA  show  this  season.  

Remember  if  you  are  counting  "End  of  Year"  points you  must  attend  a  minimum  of  3  shows.  Eligibility  to  count  points  in  classes  are  as  follows:
     Showmanship  &  Market  -  Must  participate  in  showmanship  &/or  market  classes  in  a  minimum  of  3  different  2008  JLGA  Shows.
     Breeding  Classes  -  Goats  must  be  exhibited  by  the  same  owner  in  a  minimum  of  3  different  2008  JLGA  Shows. 
07-10-08      The JLGA will pay premiums on Bayou Certified Goats only at the 2008 State Fair of
Louisiana.  We  will  also  be  picking  Champions.  If  you  are  a  Louisiana  Breeder  or  Exhibitor  &  you  have  goats  that  you  would  like  to  Bayou  Certify,  please  contact  
Cynthia  Hailey  at  318-992-4168  (if  no  answer,  please  leave  a  message)  or  boeredsillygoatranch@hotmail.com  Cost  is  $10.00  per  goat  &  is  good  for  the  lifetime  of  the  goat.  Deadline  for  Bayou  Certifying  Goats  for  the  2008  State  Fair  of  Louisiana  is  July  31,  2008.

The  Show  was  a  great  success  despite  the  freezing  temperature.  We  had  110  head  of  goat  entered.  Special  "Thanks"  to  Jason  Ables  -  County  Agent  of  Quachita  Parish  for  inviting  the  JLGA  to  host  a  show  in  conjunction  with  Ag  Expo  2008.

Also  to  all  participants,  parents,  sponsors,  adult  advisors,  &  volunteers,  we  certinaly  couldn't  have  done  it  without  you!!
